Couple of absolutely amazing reads

Really loved the letters from women who have transitioned and their inspiring journeys. Really found advice given by trans sisters truly insightful…

In order to change, accept change, and once you have learned how to flow with it, never stop flowing.

The letters show pitfalls to avoid and it is clearly accessible to anyone..including this 40 year old lesbian but it is clear it would be a great support for anyone beginning or going through this journey.

This book shows despite losing close relationships and suffering verbal and physical abuse these ladies have absolutely thrived and shone through it all. I am truly in awe!!

I will be re-reading this book as it is a good read but it also has a feel good factor to it. If you haven’t read this yet you don’t know what your missing 😆

I have learnt so so much from this book. The way in which being trans is described is really clever..

In the case of trans people, it isn’t quite as simple. It’s a bit like you signed up for a French class, but when you get there everyone is speaking Spanish.

Highlighting a trans person can identify in whichever way they feel comfortable is such an important point to cover and it comes over really well.

As the book correctly points out gender roles aren’t dead but they should be.

I can not recommend this book highly enough an enjoyable and insightful read.

Love the way this book is set out..

There’s a long-running joke that, on ‘coming out’, a young lesbian, gay guy, bisexual or trans person should receive a membership card and instruction manual.

Well as stated the book is the instruction manual and one that I wish was around when I came out (a couple of years ago 🙉) .

This book is written in a fun way but also tackles very serious topics. For instance the ‘not normal’ and how that sits in society is portrayed so well in the book.

Found this a wonderful description

Being transgender has nothing to do with who you want to do sexytime with –it’s about gender.

It is such a positive book and really enjoyed the reference of us all being in the same club!

Kudos to Juno!

So what are you waiting for get out there and get reading 📖
